Tim Hus - Songs of West Canada
CA$14.00
Though recorded in Hamburg, Germany, the debut release from Tim Hus is solidly rooted in the people, places, and themes of Western Canada. Tim’s songs spring from his own experiences growing up in this hard-working, hard-playing part of the world, touching on everything from the rodeo (‘Pick-up Trucks, Rodeos and Dust’) to the forest (‘Bigwood Timber’) to the history of the railroad (‘Craigellachie’). Tim’s songwriting forebears are recognized as well, in ‘Everybody Likes a Hank Williams Song’ and the Stompin’ Tom Connors tribute ‘Man with the Black Hat’. Combining genuine storytelling, distinctive songwriting, and spirited performances, Songs of West Canada is an album of authentic Canadiana.
